In November 2024, LAUSD’s Data & Accountability Team committed to redesigning the School Experience Survey for the 2026-27 school year. For us at BEAN, this is a major step toward ensuring Black educators' voices are truly heard—and that all parents, students, and educators are valued. Because these are our schools.

Our Vision

  1. Community Engagement: Actively involve students, families, and educators in the survey redesign process.

  2. Equitable School Transformation: A community-centered process that authentically captures school experiences to inform strategic equity decisions at each school site.

Your Role in This Movement

✅ Review & analyze LAUSD’s 2023-24 School Experience Survey data.
✅ Shape key questions that will determine how educator, parent, and student experiences are captured.
✅ Take action to ensure community voices are centered in district decision-making.
